Bobby Crawford –
I was looking to replace my problematic banjo from another brand, and after talking with Adam, this appeared to be the ticket for me. I had no wish to invest in a very expensive banjo, but I wanted playability, and most importantly, the sound. I also wanted good workmanship, and some inlay without being the plain dots. The pictures do not do the banjo justice. The inlays are well done, with just enough flash to be super classy. This maple banjo has just a tiny bit of brighter sound, articulating the lead notes with a little more definition than mahogany. This banjo cracks like a six shooter ! It is loud, punchy, and has defined bass.
When the banjo arrived, I loosened the strings, put the bridge in place, tuned it up, and no adjustments are needed. The intonation is on the money, thanks to the markings Adam put for placing the bridge. The pro setup, and the included hard shell case, along with the free shipping made this the place to buy. I can’t say enough good about this shop. OH, I almost forgot, have Adam put the spikes in for the 5th string for you, at reasonable cost, and they will be put in correctly. I wouldn’t trust just anyone to do the detail work like Adam does. Now, If I can just get to be as skilled as he is with the banjo………….
