About Adam

From a young age Adam showed an interest in music of all kinds, but at 14 years old, Adam fell in love with Bluegrass Music! At 16, he and two friends from school got a job playing music at a local amusement park, and two years later, was hired to go on the road playing with Dry Branch Fire Squad. That is when his love for banjos really took over. As a guitar player, Adam was fascinated with the different tones and styles of banjo music. Adam left Dry Branch after a three-year stint to start a family with his wife. In late 2005, Adam received a call from banjo great, Joe Mullins, who was setting in to motion starting a band called Joe Mullins and the Radio Ramblers. What started out as a band for local radio promotion for Real Roots Radio, soon turned into a national touring Bluegrass band. Adam left the Radio Ramblers at the end of 2012 to go to work for Dennis Vance at The Mandolin Store, but soon returned to playing music with a short stint with American Drive, and eventually rejoined Dry Branch Fire Squad. Adam has become one of the most sought-after setup techs in the mid-west and his love for banjos led him to officially open up The Banjo Store.
